Empowering Readers.
Books Unbound Initiative was founded by two teens in Palmer, Alaska, with a mission to help children in our community and around the world learn to read. Inspired by global literacy challenges, we’re committed to increasing access to books through donations, one-on-one tutoring and group reading programs.
Support Education & Safety Today.
Alaska’s rural and coastal communities deserve access to knowledge, connection, and safety — even in times of disaster.
The Mobilizing Access to Literacy, Opportunity & Networked Education Act will create three mobile learning pods and two full community libraries in western Alaska. These centers will serve as both educational hubs and emergency shelters, providing access to satellite internet, digital and physical books, and reliable community resources.
By signing the petition below, you’re showing your support for a program that strengthens education, connectivity, and resilience across Alaska. With enough public support, this Act could expand to more villages in the future, ensuring that every community — no matter how remote — has a place to learn, connect, and stay safe.
